This November I am trying to practice OMAD (one meal a day). Since my weight was gain higher into 60kilos, I`ve decided to choose this method as a solution. After almost a week I feel comfort to this kind of diet and my weight become 58 kilos. However, I used to do intermittent fasting, so this type is just another level of that diet. Maybe I should tell you what is intermittent fasting (IF). This type of diet is the best method for me to brought my 50s kilos back after my second pregnancy. It is the easiest way of diet I think. We just need to fast for some hours (12, 16, 20 or 23 hours) then eating in limited hours in a day. I tried Keto previously, yet I was failed for eating more carbs. I got constipation without fruit, which permit only in limited variation in Keto Diet. Furthermore, it was difficult to sleep while not eating carbs at all. I admire those who have succeeded in this kind of diet, but for me it was so hard to do.
Let`s back to OMAD. Actually this diet is further level of IF. I thought it was impossible to not eating for 23 hours a day, in reality it isn`t. Eating all the time made me sleepy and heavy. I hate being lazy after eating carbs especially. Fasting help me focus and become so much more productive. I have more time to prepare for JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) this December 2022. I also loose my appetite and not depend on food anymore. Since my body fat is maybe more than 30% I have no problem in using fat as a source of energy. I also have energy to do dumbbell training, swimming, and yoga. Well, I love doing this diet. Even I didn`t do that all the time, sometimes I ate for 4 or 5 hours too.
I think changing my eating habit means changing my whole life style. Since I ate for once or twice a day, I have more time to do anything else. I also glad for less time in the kitchen to prepare for food, meaning cheaper consumption too. I wish that I have willpower to this until reaching ideal bodyfat which is 25% or less. As a mother of two who reach 35 years old, it is so challenging to maintain ideal body composition. However, I have seen some people who were succeeded growing old gracefully (Ade Rai, Dr. Berg, etc. ). I do believe it isn`t impossible to get older with healthy and fit body. I have trained for years, I wish I`ll be great in my forties (If I am alive).
